A teacher prepares several illustrations cut from magazines, papers etc. They could be fit to a special subject or be totally different.

The idea for the first day at school can easily be related to exactly the first day of school.

The first child takes pictures and arranges them in order he/she likes and then tells own story. Then pictures are passed to the next child in the class and so everyone tries to come up with an interesting story.

By adding few funny pictures a teacher may create a fantastic atmosphere of fun and let every child feel welcome and happy about the classmates and first day of school.

At the end of the lesson teacher may ask everyone to bring if they like their own illustrations for the next day to continue the story.

”Stock” Exchange – school icebreaker game idea

Not every kid can boast about his/her excellent communication skills. How about diplomatic skills, ability to persuade through arguments and convincing communication?
Well, that’s complicated, let’s make it simple. How to make kids talk to each other and tell about their wishes.

The lesson on “Stock” Exchange may help. The role of commodities will play kids’ own names.
So, here is the idea:
Take lots of small lists of paper (4 for each kid) and colorful pencils. Tell kids to write on those papers their Names.

Now mix papers well and give all them back to kids. The task is now for to collect back 4 papers with your own name on it by making exchange with other kids. The one who does it first wins.

This idea not only helps to establish first communication links between kids, but also allows to learn some names, because the owners of those names will come to you to ask for the papers with their names.
